In the event of grid failure, the backup power supplies the power to the pitch system and drives the blade to the feather position,to make sure the turbine is safe.
Key features:
- Each cabinet has a monitoring unit that collects and manages the working temperature, voltage status, charging and discharging current of the capacitor cabinet, converts the signal and transmits it to the pitch PLC, which also controls charger, etc.
- The capacitor module consists of the supercapacitors, each has overvoltage detection and active equalization between them which ensures that the capacitors are charged evenly and without overvoltage.
- Each cabinet has a human-machine interface that collects the bus voltage, current, and the cabinet temperature, which can be displayed on the OLED display. It is also possible to collect and store the alarm data from the local capacitor modules, and supports history view OLED to track the time and location of faults.
- Supercapacitor is used as a backup power supply for the wind turbine pitch control system, improving the safety, reliability and maintenance free feature of the system.
- Wide working temperature range-40ºC~+65ºC, good low temperature characteristics, suitable for various climates of wind farms and the capacity is stable in cold season.
